Ethics and environment
We strive to be a leader in the paint and design industry and are committed to doing so without compromising our environmental conscience. We are dedicated to manufacturing and delivering your paints to you in an eco-friendly and ethical manner.
How we make your paints:
All of our paint is manufactured in England.
Our paints are entirely cruelty free and we can assure you that no animals were harmed or tested on in the production of our white shades and they contain no animal derivatives.
Both our Eggshell and Matt emulsion finishes have an EN71-3 Certification, (also known as the Toy Paint Regulation) meaning they are completely safe for use in children’s rooms, on toys and on furniture.
Our paints are water based and made to have very low VOC levels. VOC stands for Volatile Organic Compound. As the paint dries, pollutants and fumes are released into the air, so a very low VOC level means your paint is kinder to the environment as well as kinder to your lungs and extremely safe to use and live with.
How we pack your paints:
Almost all of our packaging is fully recyclable and biodegradable. The filling that keeps your tins safe is made from starch derived chipping which is fully compostable and 100% biodegradable. These packing chips are derived from a renewable resource and environmentally friendly. We chose to use tissue packaging that offers a premium solution without harming our planet. The tissue is fully recyclable; FSC certified and acid free, the tissue provider is committed to sustainability and all of their ink is soy based.
Our metal tins and cardboard boxes can be recycled but unfortunately we do have to wrap our tins in plastic to prevent leaks whilst our paints are on their way to you, but we have done our best to offset this with our eco-friendly packaging and production.
